Benjamin smiled.Just one flash shined from behind the locker door.Benjamin Franklin was gone.發(fā)布:2024/11/23 17:0:2組卷:26引用:1難度:0.32993.No Time With a broad smile on her lips,15-year old Sirin rushed to her mom to show off her new painting. But mom raised her eyebrows with eyes wide open, and spoke in an impatient tone, "No time, baby.Right now I am busy with an important talk.Just wait for some time,OK?"
Holding her oil painting, she frowned (皺眉),and then searched for her dad.
"Dad,see what I have done," Sirin announced aloud in a thrilling voice. Her dad turned around while adjusting his tie, grinned at her,and showed his thumbs up!
Immediately, blowing her two cheeks,Sirin replied angrily, "Dad,you haven't seen it yet."
He smiled at her saying, "No time, baby.I will see it later." He just patted her back lovingly, kissed her forehead, and rushed for his office.
She was not a kid to be pleased with simple gesture or smile. She stood there for a few seconds, and then stormed off to her own bedroom.Hot air was blowing from her nostrils (鼻孔);her face turned into apple red.She threw the painting on the table, slammed (把……砰地關(guān)上) the door and threw herself on her bed.
"Why is everybody so busy?" She recalled thousands of incidents that hurt her in pre-school,middle school and even in high school too!She assumed at least her own family members would give some values to her thoughts, but they were no exception.Unconsciously, her eyes were filled with tears.
The knocking sound on the door put a sudden brake to her thought. Her mom was calling her for dinner.Sirin came late to join them on purpose. She kept silent and didn't look at anyone, scratching(刮) the table mat with her nail. Her mom was puzzled at the unusual behavior.Suddenly, the morning incident clicked in her mind.Softly, she asked, "Honey, did I do anything wrong?"
Para 1:At this very moment,Sirin could no longer resist her anger.
Para 2:When back from school the next day,Sirin was surprised to see her beautifully-decorated painting on thewall.

發(fā)布:2024/11/23 15:30:1組卷:122引用:24難度:0.32998.Eating too much fat contributes to the risk of stroke (中風(fēng)) and other heart diseases. However,it's the type of fat,not the amount, that appears to be more important when it comes to stroke.Eating plant-based fats lowers stroke risk, according to a study presentation given at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2021.
The study, which hasn't yet been proved by other researchers, found people who ate the most vegetable-based fats were 12% less likely to experience a stroke compared to those who ate the least. On the other hand, people who ate the highest levels of animal-based saturated(飽和) fat were 16% more likely to experience a stroke than those who ate the least fat of that kind. The findings show the type of fat and different food sources of fat are more important than the total amount of fat in preventing certain diseases including stroke.
"You need fat to survive.Fats help your body absorb vitamins from foods, build cells, give you energy and keep you warm. But it's the unsaturated fats that come from vegetables, nuts and fatty fish that can lower your cholesterol (膽固醇) level and help keep you healthy.Saturated fats are generally not as healthy They mainly come from red and processed meats.
"A proper reduction in red and processed meat consumption within a healthy eating pattern can reduce total death by 13%,heart disease death by 14%,cancer death by 11% and type 2 diabetes risk by 24%," said Dr.Frank Hu,one of the authors of the stroke study.
Interestingly, dairy fat was not associated with a higher risk of stroke, the study found. There has been an ongoing debate among researchers as to the role of dairy. The diet guidelines for Americans call for three servings of low-and no-fat dairy each day.
