I was 10 that year．One cold spring night after I sold my last copy of newspaper at 10：20，I hurried across the street to the flower shop just as Mr．Rocco was locking the door． "Please Mr．Rocco，" I begged， "Will you open up？I just have to have a flower．Mother's Day is tomorrow．I want the most beautiful flower you have．I have a quarter and a dime!"
