Yuan Longping，F(xiàn)ather of Hybrid Rice（雜交水稻） On May 22，2021，Yuan Longping passed away in Changsha at the age of 91.（1）袁隆平把一生花在了稻谷研究上。
   In 1973，he developed the first hybrid rice.Since then，he has helped China work a great wonder（2）feeding one fifth of the world's people with less than 9%of the world's land.
Yuan had a much bigger dream-to save the world from hunger（3）Yuan's team helped people in many countries around the world to grow rice.He got the World Food Prize in 2004.Now one fifth of rice around the world comes from his study .
   Even in his later years，Yuan did not stop studyjye.aig.In 2017，working with an agricultural （農(nóng)業(yè)的）school，he helped develop indica rice（秈稻）for some special places in the world.
   For what he did，in 2020，Yuan was given the"Medal of the Republic（共和國(guó)勛章），the highest honor in China.
