Drew Lanham grew up on the farm his grandfather built in Edgefield County，S.C.jye.ai the 1920s.Lanbam，now 54，says his father felt a responsibility to stay on the land and care for the animals and crops there.To Lanham，that family land was connected with his love for birds.He would spend hours observing birds like the prairie warbler and the bobwhite quail when he was young.
