It is a great honor for me to deliver a speech，in which I will promote awareness of the importance of protecting our eyes.
As we all know，short-sightedness is on the rise among Chinese students，concerning the public.
Luckily，the situation could be improved if we take measures to stop ourselves becoming short-sighted inthe first place.We should take regular breaks from our study and look at distant objects.We should also avoid being too close to a computer，smartphone or television screen.In addition，we should ensure proper lighting whenever we read.
It is my belief that with these measures，our eye health would be greatly improved.Hopefully we all have bright eyes!
