" The surprise is part of the fun.Now blind boxes are quite popular.Merchants(商家)fill the box with random( 隨機的) toys which usually come from movies, comics and cartoons. Many people are eager to buy them to find out what will be inside.
The earliest blind boxes originated in Japan,it was a New Year's tradition. At that time, they called it "a lucky bag".Blind boxes were introduced to China in 2014.According to a 2019 Tmall(天貓)report, the mini-series of Labubu blind box, designed by Hong Kong-born Kasing Lung, was sold 55,000 in just 9 seconds during the Singles Day shopping event. Most customers for blind boxes are young people aged 18 to 35.
According to The Paper, blind box toys are popular in part because of their cute appearances. The cute miniature-sized cartoon figurines are suitable to place almost anywhere. What's more, even if blind box toys are not their top choice for decorations, the mystery and uncertainty of the process also attracts people. It's the main reason why people buy blind boxes one after another.
"Fear of the unknown is always a part of the box-opening process, "said Miss Cao,24,who lives and works in Shenyang.Speaking to Sina News, she said: "Until you open all the boxes, you cannot know what it is inside."
Opening a blind box is a pleasant little surprise for our daily lives, something small but fun to wait for each day, week or month. When people open this simple little box, they may be disappointed, but the uncertainty is part of the fun.People will open more blind boxes and hope for a better outcome. In fact, although the magical mystery boxes are full of fun,we should come to a rational(理智的) decision.

發(fā)布:2024/12/27 17:30:2組卷:33引用:4難度:0.9637.When John was growing up,other kids felt sorry for him.His parents always had him working in the garden, carrying out the garbage and delivering newspapers. But when John reached adulthood,he was better off than his childhood playmates. He had more job satisfaction,a better marriage and was healthier. Most of all,he was happier.Far happier.
These are the findings of a 40-year study that followed the lives of 456 teenage boys from Boston. The study showed that those who had worked as boys enjoyed happier and more productive lives than those who had not."Boys who worked in the home or community were better at dealing with problems and felt more confident. They believed they could achieve very much." said George Vaillant ,the psychologist(心理學(xué)家)who made the discovery."And because they felt good about themselves, others felt good about them."
In the study,Vaillant's team compared these men's achievements with their boyhood working experiences. They paid attention to lots of details. They found out the success as adults had a lot to do with the boyhood activities. Those who did the most boyhood activities were twice as likely (可能的)to have warm relations with a wide variety of people, five times as likely to be well paid and 16 times less likely to lose their jobs. The study also suggested that IQ and family background made no real difference in how the boys turned out.Working-at any age-is important.Childhood activities ,such as part-time jobs, housework, effort in school and the ability to solve the problems help a child develop his abilities, which are keys to a happy world. They also help him understand that people must cooperate and work toward common goals. The most competent adults are those who know how to do this.Yet work isn't everything. As Tolstoy once said,"One can live magnificently in this world if one knows how to work and how to love,to work for the person one loves and to love one's work."

After that, the Fairy added,"Pinocchio, tell me how you were in the hands of the robber last time."
"I had five gold pieces to give to my Father, but on the way I met two robbers. They tied my neck with a rope and hung me to a tree. "said Pinocchio." Where are the gold pieces now?"the Fairy asked.
"I lost them, "answered Pinocchio. As he spoke, his nose became at least two inches longer." And where did you lose them?"
"In the wood nearby. "At this second lie his nose grew a few more inches.
"If you lost them in the nearby wood,"said the Fairy,"we'll look for them and find them"
"Ah,now I remember,"replied Pinocchio,"I did not lose the gold pieces,but I swallowed them."
At this third lie,his nose became longer than ever. The Fairy sat looking at him and laughing.
"Why do you laugh?"Pinocchio asked her, worried now at the sight of his growing nose. "I am laughing at your lies" "How do you know I am lying?"
