95-year-old Tang Shangjun is a retired （退休） teacher in Anhua County，Hunan Province.He retired from teaching in 1987，but his role as a teacher didn't stop there.
After returning to his village in 1997，he soon found that there were many left-behind children （留守兒童） in the village，and they had no one to help them when they had trouble with homework.Many children even dropped out of school after losing interest in further study.They truly needed help.Tang decided to have after-school classes for the children in his house.And he did it all for free.
As there aren't many teaching material （材料） in the village，Tang often goes to the city，even Beijing to buy some for the students.He never stops learning himself.He read books and takes notes every day.Sometimes he even goes to other schools to learn new teaching ways from the teachers there.
"If you want to give a bowl of water to students，you must have a bucket （桶） of it，" Tang said.
