Soon huge machines with three legs were moving around．The government brought up guns．But the Martians were too strong．Then they started moving around in flying shines-something that they had never seen before．Everyone left London．It looked as Martians world easily rake diver（占據(jù)）Earth．Mars was an old dying planet，the Martians looked at the Earth and decided to come and live here．They had very big very small bodies．They did everything with machines．For food they needed food，and they really liked human blood．They would keep humans as farm animals．
Then suddenly the Martians all started to die． "The Earth's bacteria（細(xì)菌）were new to them and killed them ，Humans were saved．This is the story of the famous old book by H．G．Wells：The War of the World．
