18．Jack Ma，China's billionaire and founder of Alibaba，retired（退休） on September10th as the executive chairman（執(zhí)行董事長） of Alibaba on his 55 birthday，marking the end of an era （時代） for his company in China.
Born to a poor family，Ma，who is the most successful businessmen among the Chinese people，grew up to become China's richest man.However，you wouldn't believe the number of times this man has been refused and failed.
In his early childhood，it was difficult for Jack Ma to be good at study because of limited resources.He failed in his Primary School examinations，not once，but Twice!When applying to universities after his High school，Ma failed the entrance exams three times，before finally joining Hangzhou Normal University.He even applied and wrote to Harvard University ten times and got refused each time During and after his Bachelor's degree Jack Ma tried and failed to get a job.After spending three years to get to a University，Ma failed to find a job after applying to them 30 times!He recollected in his interview，"When KFC came to China，24 people went for the job.Twenty-three people were accepted.I was the only guy who wasn't."
However，that didn't stop him in any way of dreaming bigger.
Ma founded Alibaba in 1999 that became one of the world's biggest Internet companies.Alibaba，which has a large number of businesses，is now valued at 480 billion and Ma was listed by the Forbes magazine last year as China's richest man，with a net worth of ＄39 billion.
