The idea of banning TikTok has caught the attention of American young users.In the US，about 45 percent of teenagers aged between 13 and 16 have downloaded TikTok，according to Global Times.For them，TikTok is not just another social media app，it's part of their lifestyle.
Nicole，a 16-year-old from San Diego，told the Guardian that she used it to stay connected with friends.She said "TikTok has allowed people from different parts of the world to connect in ways I didn't think were possible."
Many young TikTok users have been working to save the platform.
Sofia Lee，a high school junior living in Texas，told Global Times that everyone should question whether TikTok really had something to do with the "safety" problem.
