3.What is machine learning, and how does it work?In 1950 mathematician Alan Turing argued that it's a waste of time to ask whether machines can think.Instead,he designed a game:A player has two conversations, one with another human and one with a machine.Based on their communications, the player has to decide which is which. This "mimic game(模擬游戲y"would serve as a test for artificial intelligence.
But how would we program machines to play the game?Scientists say that we can teach them, just like teaching children.First,we feed them lots of data:anything from pictures of objects to details of banking transactions. Then we tell the machines what to do with all that information.Programmers do this by writing lists of step-by-step instructions.Based on the patterns they find, the machines develop a kind of "model" of how that system works.
Complex models like this often require many computational steps.Programmers organize all the processing decisions into each layer. These layers imitate the structure of the human brain, where neurons (神經(jīng)元) send signals to other neurons. That's where "deep learning" comes from.
Lots of machine learning algorithms(算法)are open-source.People have used these tools to do things from developing medical software to monitoring disasters.People are also finding more and more complicated applications, some of which will automate things we are used to.….like using neural networks to help run driverless cars.
Considering the complexity of the task, some of these applications will require complicated algorithmic tools.Although that still has a lot of learning to do,stunning applications have begun to bear fruit.
(1)Why did Turing design the test?
A.To save time in the argument.
B.To decide which conversation is right.
C.To check if computers can think.
D.To help machines make conversations.
(2)What does Paragraph 3 mainly talk about?
A.The importance of data.
B.The origin of"deep learning".
D.The structure of the human brain.
C.The function of neurons.
(3)What can be inferred about machine learning algorithms?
A.They have replaced traditional monitors.
B.They have been widely used in many fields.
C.They have reduced the cost of medical software.
D.They have been accustomed to testing neural networks.
(4)What's the author's attitude to the future of machine learning?
A.Cautious.
B.Uninterested.
C.Curious.
D.Optimistic.組卷:11引用:1難度:0.5
