19．My granddaughter Elizabeth lived in Washington state.When she was 12 years old，she spent the summer visiting her father near Atlanta，Georgia.Elizabeth's school was to start in about three weeks，so it was decided that she would stop and visit me in Texas before returning to Washington.Our get-together would be rather short，but we enjoyed every moment with her.
However，I can't imagine what the travel agent in Georgia was thinking when she scheduled Elizabeth's flights.First，she was to fly from Atlanta to Houston William Hobby Air- port，arriving about 9：00 pm.Then she was to depart for San Antonio about 11：00 pm from Houston's George H.W.Bush Inter-Continental Airport.However，there was about 25 miles between the two airports，and there was no ground transportation available between the two.
The lady who sat next to Elizabeth on the plane learned of the situation and，sensing her worry，gave her a phone card and ﹩10.When Elizabeth called us and explained her situation，we advised her to contact a police officer there at the terminal（航空站）.
She did.The police officer put her in touch with Ms Joy Fears，a Continental gate agent.Initially，Ms Fears was going to put Elizabeth in a taxi to the destination.Elizabeth had ﹩20 that her dad had given her upon leaving Atlanta，plus the ＄10 that her seatmate（鄰座乘客） had given her-enough for the taxi fare.
However，considering the late hour and it was difficult for Elizabeth to move her luggage to the next airport，Ms Fears decided to show her kindness by taking an enjoyable "do it your- self" approach.It's about half an hour before Ms Fears came off work，so she told Elizabeth to wait for her.But Elizabeth explained that she was very hungry and couldn't wait for any second.
