24．When we bought our small house many years ago，there was a big Japanese Red Pine in the yard，close to where our neighbors parked their cars.One day I looked out of the window and saw four black crows（烏鴉）beside a baby squirrel，as if hunting it.I went outside，the crows few to the tree，and the squirrel froze.So I picked up a large rock，and making certain to throw it in the opposite direction of the cars parked nearby，I threw the rock at the crows …except the stone ricocheted（跳彈）off a tree，flew at a 90 degree angle（角度）and broke the window of a new white car.My blood ran cold.
In alarm and calm，I put my name and phone number under the windshield（雨刮器），went back inside and watched to see which neighbor's car window I destroyed.Later a young man came to the car and I ran out to explain the accident and promised to take full responsibility.He was very kind，called his relative who was my neighbor（he was visiting），Ms.White，and she came out to see!Ms.White was also very kind …yet，I heard the young man， "Thank goodness!I'm lucky to have car insurance（保險）.But，how will I go to the wake（葬禮前后的守夜）？" He was on their way to attend his newly dead grandmother's wake and now he also had no car!
"I am so sorry.How did I do this？" I said in great regret.
