1.Films to watch in 2021No Time to Die

A Quiet Place Part Ⅱ
We learned in 2020 that not every film needs to be seen in a theatre. One exception is John Krasinski's sequel(續(xù)集)to his hit A Quiet Place, about a family who will be attacked by noise-sensitive monsters(怪獸)if they make a noise. When the original was shown in theatres, there was not a popcorn crunch to be heard, just the rare sound of an entire audience holding its breath.
Released internationally on 22 April
Luca
Having taken memorable trips to France,Scotland and Mexico,Pixar heads to Italy for its next cartoon,Luca,a sunny coming-of-age comedy directed by Enrico Casarosa. "This is a deeply personal story for me," Casarosa has said,"not only because it's set on the Italian Riviera where I grew up,but because the film focuses on a celebration of friendship. " Its hero is a boy named Luca who has a wonderfully carefree summer by the seaside with his new best friend.
Released internationally on 18 June
Top Gun:Maverick
Top Gun flew into cinemas in 1986.Fortunately,Tom Cruise hasn't aged a day since then,so he can still declare,"I feel the need, the need for speed".In the long-awaited sequel,Cruise's US Navy pilot,Pete "Maverick" Mitchell,is a captain, and his old rival "Iceman"(Val Kilmer) is a four-star general.

10.閱讀下面短文,根據(jù)其內(nèi)容寫一篇60詞左右的內(nèi)容概要。
American English began in the 17th century. At the beginning of the 17th century, the English language was brought to North America by colonists (殖民者) from England. They used the language spoken in England, that is,Elizabethan English, the language used by Shakespeare.
In order to find new resources in America,British colonists settled down there and from 1607 to 1732 set up thirteen colonies, including Virginia,North Carolina,New York, and New Jersey. In these thirteen areas,English was a common language used by all people. The first colonists established the English form in America.
As time went by,the English language gradually changed on both sides of the Atlantic.Foreigners longing for wealth set foot on the coastal area to trade.Americans borrowed many words from foreign languages and invented numerous new words to meet their commercial needs.
Following American Independence, famous people like Thomas Jefferson, the President, began to consider that the country should have a language of its own.Noah Webster compiled(編撰) three elementary books on English.Later,he expressed the idea that as an independent nation,America should have a system of its own in language as well as in government.
Since the rise of the United States to a position of world importance,American English has been developing and changing. There is no doubt that American English will enrich the English language greatly. With the rapid development of modern mass media and the common needs of economic, cultural and political exchanges,American English is more widely used in the world than British English.組卷:0引用:1難度:0.6
